Unusual landscape of an industrial scene with cattle and chickens in the foreground. The painting which is in a magnificent gilt frame, probable dates from the late 18th century/early 19th century.
It is painted in lovely tones and is signed by the artist and titled 'Charbonnage de Ghlin' - a small town in Belgium.
There is some damage to the gilt frame but otherwise it is in good condition.
