Superb pair of framed 19th century oil paintings of two gun dogs. The paintings date from the late 19th century and are signed.

Each oil on canvas shows two different working dogs having retrieved their game - woodcock and partridge - at different times of the year.

The paintings are in good original condition for their age and are mounted in lovely moulded, gilt frames. Each painting is signed by the artist - G Van Averbeke.
