Large oil painting - oil on canvas - by the well listed Belgium artist Henri Joseph Pauwels (1903 - 1983). Pauwels was known for his landscapes, often with farms and cottages in them and painted with a slight impressionistic touch. He is also known for his marines and interior paintings. He is collected more outside of Belgium and one of his untitled works sold in America (2015) for $6250. He is listed in Akoun, Arto and Piron dictionary of artists.

The painting is mounted in a simple wooden frame with slip and is signed in the bottom right corner. The painting dates from around 1950.
