Oil on Canvas signed - Rene de Baugnies (1869 - 1962).  The painting is mounted in its original 19th century frame and shows a view of a moored fishing boat.

Baugines was a neo-impressionist who exhibited between 1905 and 1933 at the National Society of Fine Arts in Brussels , at the Galerie du Studio in Brussels and in 1925 at the Salon Lamorinière.  He was a member of the National Society of Fine Arts , and exhibited at the Salon of French artists in 1929.  He is recognised for his landscapes and seascapes.

He is listed in the dictionary of Belgium painters and has works in the Orsay Museum.
