Superb oil on canvas by Belgium artist Raoul Labarre (1902 - 1987). The painting shows a vase of flowers and uses strong colours. It is painted in a slight impressionist style and is mounted on a wooden chassis and in a simple gilt wooden frame.

Raoul Labarre was well known for his village scenes, landscapes, interiors and still life paintings. He has works in the Museum de Gand, Tornai an Ixelles. He has exhibited the Palais des Beaux Arts, Brussels and was a member of the Academies de Saint-Gilles and Molenbeck-Saint Jean.
