French Farmyard Landscape - Emile de Geld

Superbly executed Oil on canvas showing a farmyard landscape.
Painted by Emile de Geld who was born in Brussels in 1909 and died in London in 1972. He was an artist 'autodidacte' and benefitted from advice from A Bastien. Also influenced by F Courtens and L Clesse.
Emile de Geld took inspiration from the 'Rouge Cloitre' and the 'Foret de Soignes', the Ardennes and Provence.

Exhibited in Brussels from 1943 and has a painting in the Musee d'Ixelles.
The artist is well catalogued with a record of £5965 at auction.

The painting is in its stunning original wooden gilt frame.
