French Landscape - Crozant School

The painting shows a view of the Creuse Valley near Crozant, which is the northern limit of the Creuse department, France.
The painting is signed by the 19th/early 20th century artist Georges Dallier, who was a member of the Crozant School. This painting was probably painted around 1900-1910 and is in excellent condition.

The Crozant School was named after the French commune of Crozant and consisted of a host of landscape painters who worked from 1830 to 1950. They painted along the banks of the Grande Creuse and the Petit Creuse. It included artists such as Monet, Armand Guillanmin and Francis Picabia.
The painting is unframed and is one of a pair.
