Gypsies by a River -

Vibrant oil on panel by the artist Roger Hebbelink (1912). The oil painting shows a gypsy encampment by a river with a bridge in the distance.
Hebbelink artist attended the Academy of Brussels and the Academy of Ixelles, under the direction of Omer Dierickx. He was a student of Isidore van Mens for watercolours and Van Santen for his engravings.
He is well known for his watercolours, prints and engravings and illustrated 'Les Villages Illusoires' by Emile Verhaeren.
The painting is in a super quality moulded frame. Both frame and painting are in good condition.
