Large oil on canvas of a working horse. The painting is signed by the Belgium artist Jef Janssens who was born in Liege in 1933. He is mainly self taught but has a reputation for his expressive paintings of horses, cattle and rural scenes.
Janssens is listed at auction. He also works as a cartoonist under the name Jans.

The painting is mounted in a good wooden frame and is in excellent condition.
