Le Crotoy, France

Lovely impressionist style seascape signed by the artist Guy Le Gendre. The painting (oil on board) shows a view of Le Crotoy, northern France.
The painting is in a simple modern frame and is in excellent condition.

Guy Le Gendre still lives in Amiens and was recently described as one of the last impressionists. He has exhibited in galleries across France particularly Le Touquet and Lille an further afield in the UK and Germany.
He sold his first canvas in 1961 and in 1964 he had his first exhibition.
In 1965 he sold at a specialised landscape Gallery - Drouot.
2002 won first prise 'del la garde republicaine.
2005 won first prize at the commemoration national de Jules Verne and first prize at the 'Concours International de Peinture'.
