Decorative pair of French romantic oil on panels after Nicolas Lanceret. They depict 'la lecon de musique' and 'l'innocence de Lanceret'.
Each oil on wooden panel are inscribed on the rear by the artist Maillan A Dampmart. They are beautifully painted, in good condition and mounted in an attractive frame. The paintings date from the late 19th century/early 20th century. Nicoals Lanceret (1690-1743) was born in Paris and became a brilliant depicter of light comedy which reflected the tastes and manners of French society of that period.
