Oil on canvas of a shepherd with his sheep in a landscape. The painting is signed by the artist Thomas Spinks (1872 - 1901) and is mounted in a pretty gilt washed frame.
Spinks was a Landscape painter who produced works of a similar style to those of B.W. Leader and W.H. Mander. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and Suffolk Street, Walker Gallery Liverpool and Manchester City Art Gallery between 1872 and 1907.
