Very attractive oil on board attributed to the artist Samuel de Vriendt (1884-1974). He was a brother to artist Julien de Vriendt and a friend of Joe English.

He is famous for his portraits and studies of children as well as floral compositions and religious subjects. He has paintings in the Museum of Diksmude.

This is a very decorative painting in an antique frame and is in excellent condition.
