Late 19th century oil on canvas of a barge on a canal mounted in a gilt frame of the period and signed by the artist J V Hermans. The painting is inscribed on the rear and has some old invisible restorations.
Jean-Victor Hermans was an Antwerp painter who painted in the region at the end of the 19th century. He mainly painted landscapes and exhibited at the Antwerp Exhibition in 1898. (Piron).
