Glansdorff was born 16 October 1877, in Brussels; died 1963, in Knokke-Le Zout. He was a painter of still lifes of flowers, portraits & genre scenes
Glansdorff was a pupil of the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels with Joseph Stallaert. He was friends with the artists Joris de Bruyne, Alphonse Blomme and Albert Alleman .
He was a also member of the Circle Artistique et Littéraire de Bruxelles & lived at Lensstraat 28 in Brussels. Hubert Glansdorff exhibited in Antwerp and Brussels. He was essentially a flower painter, and his works were strongly influenced by the classical Flemish and Italian artists. He liked to play with the effects of light, creating skilful contrasts.
