We now have five new classic and original lamps in stock all with stunning handmade French lampshades.  All of these will be on display in the shop from the 15th June or can be purchased online.

The word 'Commode' has been used in changing context over time. During the first part of the 18th century, this term was used for a chest of drawers, later on, it came to mean a type of cabinet that was used to hold chamber pots. It further evolved to refer to a wooden chair that came with a chamber pot attached to it.

Our inspiration page is a new feature to the website where we will be adding a selection of images that we like and hope you will too.   Most of the images will have a French theme and show antiques, ideas, paintings and decorative objects from our shop in Chagford and elsewhere.
