Description and Price of Goods
Every care has been taken to ensure the descriptions of the items on this website are accurate.   Descriptions of the goods are given from our perspective, and we will aim to provide you with as much relevant information as necessary.
Prices are subject to change without notice and items are sold subject to availability. VAT is included in the price of goods at the current rate.
Photographs of the items on the website are as accurate as possible, but we cannot guarantee the exactness of colour reproduction on other computers or devices.
When buying antiques on the website we are happy to talk you about these items if you need more information than is given on the website and we will endeavour to give as much information on these items as possible. It must be remembered that when buying antique furniture and antique decorative items that they are often from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and are in a used condition and are aged in the manner to be expected of an ‘antique’. Every care will be taken to provide detailed photographs of these items on the website. We cannot be held responsible for an exact date of manufacture for these items but will provide an approximate date for antique items.

Placing an Order
Once your order has been placed the price of delivery will be shown separately to the item (see our delivery charges), and VAT is included in the item price.
On receiving all the relevant information and a payment, we can then process the order, and a confirmation will be sent to your e-mail address. 
If an item is out of stock, it should be marked on the website. If not, we will notify you immediately.
We reserve the right to refuse an order at any point.

Privacy
Before placing an order, please ensure that all the details you have given are correct at the time of purchase.

Delivery
Goods will be delivered to the address you have provided on your order and carried out by a reputable courier.
Any online orders will be delivered to the address provided on Payment to via PayPal.
Please see our delivery section for further information and charges.
There is no charge for delivery if you would like to pick up the item(s) from our shop.
If you do not receive your item within a week, please e-mail or telephone us on 01694 432381.

Availability
We aim to ensure details of availability of our goods are always kept accurate. However, due to the nature and originality of some of our items we cannot always guarantee availability and some of the items may be ‘one-offs’. Every effort will be made to keep availability up to date on the website. Goods will be supplied on a first come first served basis.

Receiving your Order
We aim to dispatch all items (if in stock) within 24 hours of receiving your order and payment. On receipt of your order, please check the item you have received is correct. If not, please notify us immediately by e-mail to sales@ruedesfontenelles.co.uk

Returns
Rue des Fontenelles ensures that all of our items are packed and protected correctly, and we only use a reputable courier for our deliveries. 
Please ensure you are sure about the item you are ordering before ordering. We are only too happy to supply more information and advice about items on our website. However, in the event that you wish to return your item(s) you are entitled to do so under the Distance Selling Regulations within 14 days of arrival. The item(s) must be in original condition; otherwise we have the right to refuse a refund. You are responsible for the cost of returning the item, and we recommend you obtain proof of posting. A guideline for the approximate cost of returning goods (Royal Mail) is listed below.
Parcels from £3.20 - £33.40 (based on royal mail standard service for non-valuable items).
UK Guaranteed for valuable and more important items (we recommend you use this service) from £6.40 to around £41.00. We recommend you obtain proof of postage.

Cancelling Your Order
While we hope you have taken the time to place your order, under the distance selling regulations, you are entitled to cancel your order up to 14 working days after the goods are received. The cancellation deadline will expire after 14 days. To exercise your right to cancel you must inform us in writing to Rue des Fontenelles, 58-60 The Square, Chagford, Devon, TQ13 8AE or by e-mail to sales@ruedesfontenelles.co.uk.

To save you time, you can download, print and send by post or email our Cancellation Form , or if this is not possible to supply the information given in the document.

Again as with returns, we will only give a refund if the goods are returned to us in their original condition.
You will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods.

Regardeng the return of antiques we do not normally offer this due to their fragile nature and the cost of delivery.  Any returns need to be discussed within 28 days and the purchaser is responsible for the cost of returning the item (s).

Rue des Fontenelles reserves the right to remove items from the website and change the content. We will not be held liable for any errors or interruption to the service and do not give any guarantees to its content and correctness. We also reserve the right to make changes or suspend the site. The use of this site is at your own discretion.
The use of this website is solely for your use and no other purpose and is your responsibility. We are not responsible if your PC does not have the relevant technology to use this site.
